Fenerbahce has presented its new coach for the upcoming season. However, it was not the big solution with Joachim Löw.

The Turkish first division Fenerbahce has introduced the Portuguese Vitor Pereira as a new coach. Pereira coached the Istanbul club from 2015 to 2016.

“I came back to tackle unfinished tasks,” a press release quotes the 52-year-old as saying.

Fenerbahce: Lion return no longer an issue this summer

During his first term, Pereira, who already coached TSV 1860 München in Germany, did not win a title with Fenerbahce. After the separation from Erol Bulut last March, 101-time Turkish international Emre Belözoglu acted as interim coach at Fenerbahce until the end of the season.

In recent weeks, there has been speculation about a return of Joachim Löw to the Bosphorus. The outgoing national coach announced after the European Championship against England, however, to” take an emotional break”.
