FCB President Hainer has commented on the fact that Alaba kissed the coat of arms during his first appearance in the Real jersey. This surprised him.

Herbert Hainer, President of FC Bayern Munich, was surprised that former Bayern professional David Alaba kissed the coat of arms of his new employer directly during his presentation in Madrid.

At Picture Live said the 67-year-old: “I was also a bit surprised by the action after being with us and part of FC Bayern Munich for so long. But this is life.”

In view of the twelve years Alaba was under contract with the German record champion, Hainer’s words can certainly be understood as a small side blow.

Consequently, the FCB president did not accept that consultant Pini Zahavi was solely responsible for Alaba’s high salary demands. These demands had led to the failure of the contract negotiations with FC Bayern. Hainer said: “You can’t always put it down to the consultants, because ultimately the player has employed and signed the consultant. In this respect, the consultant will not do anything that the player does not want, but vice versa.”

The negotiations of the FCB with Alaba were hotly discussed in public. Among other things, former Bavarian President Uli Hoeness described adviser Zahavi as a”money-hungry piranha”.
