Ubisoft Announces Launch of Assassin’s Creed NFT Collection

Ubisoft has been the most prolific video game publisher on the Web3, and the developers of the Far Cry and Just Dance series are expanding into NFT with the enormously successful Assassin’s Creed franchise.

Assassin’s Creed Smart collectibles are a collaboration between Integral Reality Labs and Ubisoft. And they consist of NFT access cards coined on the Ethereum scaling network Polygon and actual items inspired by the game.

Unique Customization Options

Each “Digital Soul” NFT is redeemable for a unique 3D-printed figurine. Depicting one of the series’ characters floating in a clear cube, and may be personalized.

Before the actual collectible is produced and distributed, the owner may choose from a variety of clothes, weaponry, and positions. Different tiers of NFTs provide access to more options for personalizing their corresponding tangible items.

The NFC chips in the collectibles allow for wireless data transfer between devices in close proximity. Owners may see a digital representation of the figure via a companion app, as well as have access to other features and functionality related to the project by tapping with a smartphone.

A spokesman for Integral Reality Labs told that pre-sale will begin shortly, with the official mint happening on May 16. However, prices have not yet been announced.

Integral Reality Labs and Ubisoft have worked together before on the distribution of 3D-printed artefacts based on games like Assassin’s Creed, Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six, and For Honour, with and without a digital tie-in. Ubisoft claims that since its 2007 debut, the Assassin’s Creed video game series has sold over 200 million copies worldwide.
