German fans can only watch the classic European Championship round of 16 between Germany and England live at Wembley Stadium if they live in Great Britain, Ireland or on the islands of Isle of Man, Guernsey and Jersey. This comes from an internal mail from the German Football Association, which is available to the German Press Agency. It states that the European Football Union Uefa tickets for the match in London on Tuesday (18 Clock, TV: ARD, Liveticker: SPIEGEL.de) can only offer trailers whose residence is in the so-called common Travel Area.

The reason for this, according to the letter, is the entry requirements to the UK because of the corona pandemic. Strict quarantine measures apply to travelers from Germany. Violators of the provisions would face large fines or even prison sentences. According to the current situation, fans travelling from Germany would have to isolate themselves for ten days after arriving in the UK. You can be released after five days.

Earlier, the Italian federation had already announced that fans of the “Squadra Azzurra” at the round of 16 on Saturday in London against Austria can only be present with residence in Great Britain.
