In a partnership with Astar’s zero-knowledge Ethereum Virtual Machine (zkEVM), world-renowned watchmaker Casio has launched the NFT collection. The release states that this new breakthrough is intended to celebrate Casio’s 50th anniversary. The major partnership with Casio was also announced by Astar Network on X.

It is vital that Casio and Astar zkEVM, a formidable alliance formed by Astar and Polygon, work together to improve scalability. Yoki Origins is a gamified user onboarding experience that Astar zkEVM, powered by Polygon Chain Development Kit (CDK), started using a few months ago. The Ethereum Layer-2 scaling solution is incorporating the Yoki Origins experience into its latest partnership with Casio.

Iconic Casio Watch Model Depicted

Among the watchmakers’ creations, the Yoki Origins will showcase the Casio YoPort capsule machine. Interested parties may choose between two versions of the YoPort from Casio. With the former offering one NFT and the latter eight NFTs. May 10 is designated as Reveal Day, thus no one will be able to see the artwork for this item until then.

The Japanese watchmaker has signed strategic partnerships with creators that will design the digital memorabilia for this collection. Notably, the NFT series for Casio watches include eight pieces of artwork from a variety of artists. An iconic Casio watch model would be depicted in each work of art.

An original G-Shock and Astar valued 10,000 yen (about $64) are among the many prizes up for grabs in the Casio watch NFT sales. One would see the Astar zkEVM logo on the watch.
