Creators of the Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Yuga Labs, have unveiled a brand-new NFT collection on Bitcoin named “TwelveFold.” 300 limited-edition works of generative art, each inscribed to the Bitcoin network, will make up the TwelveFold collection.

It’s one of the most well-known launches to date through Ordinals, a just-launched platform for committing media. And artwork to Bitcoin by permanently tying each piece to a unique Satoshi, or 1/100,000,000 of a complete Bitcoin (BTC).  A visual allegory for the data mapping on the Bitcoin network, TwelveFold is a base-12 art system focus on a 12×12 grid. This will combine both hand-drawn components and 3D images.

The project developed by Yuga’s internal art department. And it is unrelated to its Ethereum-based intellectual property and will not function or interact with it in the future. A few important features of TwelveFold differentiate it from Yuga’s earlier works.

The fact that every other Yuga project is actively running on the Ethereum blockchain, the most prominent NFT network, is particularly noteworthy. Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC), Mutant Ape Yacht Club (MAYC), and virtual land plots for the upcoming Otherside metaverse game are all part of that list.
