Besiktas sign Kenan Karaman
Kenan Karaman plays in the Turkish Süper Lig. The 25-time international has signed with Besiktas in Istanbul.
Midfielder Kenan Karaman has found a new club. The 27-year-old, whose contract with second division club Fortuna Düsseldorf expired on 30 June, will join Besiktas on a free transfer. This was officially announced by the Turkish top club on Thursday.
In Istanbul, Karaman signed a three-year contract until 2024. “ We welcome Kenan Karaman, who we believe will provide important services to our club, and wish him every success, ” Besiktas writes in its message.
Kenan Karaman: Besiktas the first professional station outside Germany
For Karaman, who has played 25 times for Turkey and was last in the squad at the European Championships, it is the first professional station outside Germany. To date, the Stuttgart native had played for TSG Hoffenheim, Hannover 96 and since 2018 for Düsseldorf.
Last season, Karaman scored seven goals and two assists in 28 second division appearances for Fortuna.
