The AfD tried against the mask duty of the Bundestag to act. So far, however, remained without success. Before the start of the Bundestag week Bundestag Vice-President Wolfgang Kubicki (FDP) has warned the AfD in front of it, to be in breach of the Corona-measure.

“The members of the AfD can leave it out arrive,” said Kubicki, the “Handelsblatt”. “When in doubt, call to order, order, threaten them, however, money in the amount of 1000 Euro or even the session of exclusion in case of persistent refusal to wear a mask.” On Monday, many Bundestag committees in Berlin, from Wednesday to Friday, the plenary comes together.

Since the 6. October is a General decree of the President of the Bundestag Wolfgang Schäuble: In all buildings of the Bundestag, also in the chamber, must be taken, therefore, a mouth-nose protection. Members can have slimming but, if you have spaces in the chamber and in the meeting – place or on the lectern stand. The provision concerns the employees of the Bundestag administration, as well as group employees and members.

The AfD had already been announced shortly after the announcement of the measure, to want to take action against perpetrators. In the last week, the legal Advisor in the Federal Parliament rejected a corresponding Declaration to cease and desist.

The prompt came via a lawyer’s letter as a “warning”. 19 AfD members and nine group employees wanted to achieve, that Schäuble writes that the claims for injunctive relief and statement of commitment below. Schäuble is generally available to the Wearing of a mouth-nose protection, however, formally and materially legal, shared with the Federal government on Friday on request.

Kubicki said that the AfD will have a hard time against the mask duty to take legal steps. The Bavarian constitutional court had already declared in September that the Wearing of the mask “was not an impermissible intrusion into the free mandate,” added the FDP-Federal Deputy. “But the AfD is already political provocation.”
